What services does TTP offer?

Trucks Transit Parks (TTP) is a cutting edge transportation infrastructure company that uses innovative technology to provide solution to the traffic challenges in Nigeria. It is especially designed to manage truck traffic and parking issues within Nigeria. In recent times, it has become increasingly difficult to navigate around certain port cities in Nigeria as a result of traffic congestion. The TTP service, design and delivery is measured against safety, reliability, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

How will TTP operate?

All TTP users (truckers, terminal operators, approved unions, clearing agents and park owners) are expected to create an account on the online portal and register their trucks, parks, drivers etc. TTP operates an integrated traffic management system, also called electronic call up system to manage itinerary of trucks/truckers from the originating point of the trucks to their destinations. A ports bound truck could go from originating point to a park, then it would be scheduled to a holding bay and then programmed to access the ports. Trucks are charged an access fee for these services paid from their online account.

How does TTP control traffic for ease of access for trucks?

TTP, in conjunction with law enforcement authorities; FRSC, Police, LASTMA etc will enforce compliance of traffic rules in order to ease traffic. Law enforcement agents will tow and impound any trucks that flout the no parking, no stopping or unauthorized entry guidelines.

How do I create an account?

To create an account, kindly click here or click on “my account” or “get started” on www.ttp.com.ng and input your name (personal name, company name, name of Union etc) email address and a secure/strong password.

What documentation do you require for account registration?

Documentation requirements for registration or renewal depends on the kind of service you require from us. So you may be required to upload your driver’s license, passport photograph, a picture of your truck, a picture of your park etc. The document for each category of clients is further broken down under each category.

Can I delete or edit any update I have done on my account?

You will be able to edit information provided regarding trucks, drivers, parks etc. However, for record purpose you will be unable to delete information already saved.

How do I make payment?

You will be required to make payment for our services via your online account. The payment can be made using a debit card/bank transfer (via Paystack) or USSD.

Can I pay cash to your Toll Officer at your office or to any of your agent?

Nigeria currently operates a Cash lite policy and as a law-abiding organization we adhere to governmental rules hence we do not receive cash for any of our transactions. You are encouraged to use our online platform. Will I be issued a receipt upon payment?

You will receive a notification upon completion of your transaction and an electronically generated receipt will also be sent to your email. If you do not receive the receipt, kindly reach out to our Customer Care team on 09072887887, 07068243253 or [email protected] and we will be glad to assist you.

Will I receive a physical payment evidence or is it an electronic evidence?

All payment evidence will be generated electronically. However, you may download or print them out for your use. You can print for your use, or request our Customer Care team at the facility where you are to print or forward a copy to your registered email address upon request.

What is the least amount I can fund my account with?

We do not impose any limit on the amount you can fund your account with provided your funds can adequately cover the services you are requesting for. However, Paystack, our payment platform has a minimum naira amount of N50.00.

What evidence do I tender to Road Safety, Police to show that I can drive on the road?

An electronically generated pass will be issued to you. Trucks would be denied access into the Apapa logistics ring if they do not have the required electronically generated passes.

What evidence do I tender at the port to confirm that I am due for loading?

An electronically generated pass will be issued to you. Any truck without an electronically generated pass would be denied access into the Apapa logistics ring.

How do I replace my ticket if I misplace it?

If you misplace your physical ticket kindly use the e-pass you received via SMS/email. However, in the event that you do not have both kindly reach out to our Customer Care team on 09072887887, 07068243253 or [email protected] . You will be required to provide some information to enable us assist you.

Must I register my driver on the platform or can I ask any driver to drive my truck registered on your platform?

All drivers proposed by truck owners to drive their maritime trucks will need to be registered on the platform.

Are the parks insured against theft, fire, flood etc?

All the parks on TTP’s platform are insured by the owners. However, terms and conditions for claims apply.

How do I book for your parking facility?

To book the facility, you will be required to register on our online platform and thereafter make the request. The request must be made 24 hours prior to arrival.

How do I book for your facility if I am unable to access your online platform?

We have simplified the process as this can also be done via USSD. Kindly dial “789” on your telephone to initiate your transaction. However, if you are unable to use any of the platforms, kindly reach out to our Customer Care team on 09072887887, 07068243253 or [email protected] and we will be glad to assist you.

How many trucks can each park take?

The number of trucks a park can accommodate is dependent on the size of the park. Park owners will provide the capacity of their park which will be verified by TTP before registration. We will provide the number of available parking spaces on our platform at any time to help you book.

What happens if my already booked truck breaks down on the road before arriving the parking facility?

If a truck already booked-in breaks down before arriving at the approved park, the driver must call the parking facility four (4) hours prior to their scheduled arrival time otherwise they will forfeit their funds as the space cannot be used by TTP after four (4) hours.

How do I opt out of the service?

What ancillary services can I enjoy on your platform?

Our facilities are equipped with ancillary services such as vulcanizers, auto mechanics, canteens, restrooms, lodgings, fuel stations, potable water to name a few.

What are the charges for ancillary services?

Services are billed based on type, location, timing and other factors. Please check for “Book Ancillary Services” under your profile for the latest prices.

What happens if an already booked-in truck breaks down after leaving the approved parking facility?

If a truck already booked-in breaks down after leaving the approved packing facilities, such truck must notify the agent who must book another truck for his business. The truck cannot request for the funds paid for the service as TTP has already discharged its duties by scheduling the truck. However, if such truck calls TTP for towing service and mechanical repair assistance, such truck will be reschedule after payment to approved packing facilities. More so, such truck must remain in TTP/NPA approved parking facilities to be qualified.

What if a truck that is programmed to load is unable to make it to the holding bay?

Trucks that where programmed to load on a particular day that have not made it to a holding bay and are unable to be processed to the ports would be required to report at least four (4) hours before expiration of loading time zone and would be reprogrammed on the following alternate day.

Will I receive help from TTP if my truck breaks down on the road before it is booked in?

As a truck owner, you are responsible for the maintenance of your truck. You may request a tow service immediately your truck breaks down by calling our Customer Care team on 09072887887, 07068243253Alternatively, relevant enforcement agencies may tow your truck. Please note that towing following a breakdown attracts applicable fees/charges.

What are the available routes for trucks?

This is dependent on your (i) location and (ii) destination. All trucks going to Apapa Port must come in through Costain/Marina/Mile 2-Orile-Iganmu towards Ijora route and leave through same route. All trucks enroute Tincan must come in through Oshodi-Apapa-Tincan route or Badagry-Mile-2 -Tincan route and leave through that route.

Are there forbidden routes for trucks?

Trucks are free to take any route of their choice. However, trucks going to any controlled locations such as Apapa and Tincan Ports and such other destinations that are managed by our platform will be required to schedule their movement on our platform. They will be advised the fastest route to follow.

How does a truck get booked for pick up/loading?

All truck owners are expected to register their truck(s) on the online platform https://eto.ttp.com.ng. Clearing agents who have a confirmed TDO or anyone who requires the services of a truck will book for it via the online platform.

Who are your regulators?

TTP is regulated by the generally applicable laws regulating companies in Nigeria.

How do I register a truck, driver or park on my account?

Kindly go to our website, ttp.com.ng. Click on the “Get Started” Link. Then fill in the information at the site: eto.ttp.com.ng. You will receive a confirmation email and follow the link in the email to complete your registration. Please note that your truck or park may be subject to inspection by TTP, NPA or any other agency before your registration may be validated for transactions.

How long will my truck remain in your park before being processed to my final destination?

Trucks parked in our parks (holding bays or port pre-gates) are expected to be processed and programed to their next destinations within twelve (12) hours.

For how long does my truck stay in the Ports before/during loading?

All trucks processed into the ports are expected to complete and exit the ports within two (2) hours.

I no longer have access to the email I used to open the account, how do I change my email address?

Kindly reach out to our Customer Care team on 09072887887, 07068243253 or [email protected] before expiration of loading time zone and would be reprogrammed on the following alternate day.

As an ancillary service provider, when do I get paid for the services rendered?

Your payment is secured from when your service is booked. Receipt of payment is upon confirmation by client that service has been provided

Can a clearing agent book a truck for loading without posting the request on your platform?

No. All requests for trucks to the ports will be processed through the platform.

What is the process for trucks that are returning empty containers?

All trucks returning empty containers would be required to book into one of the available supporting parks and go through the same process for loading.

How do I turn around if I go through a wrong route?

See the available turning points on our SOP. You can also ask the traffic enforcement agents along your route, or report to the TTP call center and you will be advised on what to do.

I am a clearing agent, or terminal operator. How do I request for a truck when I need one?

Please visit the park profiles on the Eto platform and pick from the available trucks.

When should I book my truck for my daily activities?

Truck owners/terminal operators are expected to book their daily itinerary on the system at least 24 hours prior to entry in order to allow a sequenced scheduling of their entry the following day

Will I receive evidence of tax remittance for the fees I paid?

Yes, you will receive evidence of tax remittance where applicable.

How do I turn around if I go through a wrong route?

See the available turning points on our SOP. You can also ask the traffic enforcement agents along your route, or report to the TTP call center and you will be advised on what to do.

Do you offer convoy parking?

Yes, convoy parking is available.

What criteria must my park meet to qualify for registration on your platform?

All park owners desiring to register with TTP Ltd must ensure that their parks possess the following:

  • Minimum of 200 truck parking space
  • Access control
  • Conveniences
  • CCTV
  • 24 hours power supply
  • Security

What safety standard must a park meet in order to do business with you?

Park owners must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 200 truck parking capacity with circulation space
  • 24 hours security and power
  • Remote viewing CCTV
  • Access control compatible with Pre-Gate Access control (with availability display)
  • Fire safety plan

What documents must truck owners provide at the point of registration?

Truck owners must provide the following documents:

  • Company registration with CAC
  • NPA registration as maritime operator
  • Complete truck registration papers (vehicle license, road worthiness, motor insurance etc)

How do I get paid for my park use and when?

The truck owner pays for the access fee on the TTP platform. When the truck uses your facility, TTP pays you the parking fee agreed with TTP.

Who is responsible for the equipment and facilities (monitor, software, public announcement speakers) used in my park?

Private operators of approved holding bays shall be responsible for the cost of installation and maintenance of access control infrastructure at their parks. However, the contract can be modified depending on the agreed collaboration with TTP.

Must my park be insured and who bears the cost?

What does a Union need to do to support the process?

A union needs to ensure that its members are registered on the platform, and that they indicate the union they belong to when registering their trucks. The Union must ensure the members comply with the queuing process.
